Water efficient appliances

Implementing water-efficient appliances on campus can lead to significant water savings and promote sustainable practices. Here’s an overview of water-efficient appliances is available in our campus.

1. All the toilets are upgraded to dual-flush or low-flow toilets that minimize water per flush across the campus.
2. Low-Flow and Automatic Taps are installed to save even more water, restrooms and laboratories have installed low-flow taps and sensor-activated automatic taps, which reduce the quantity of water consumed during handwashing.
3. Most of the showerheads use low-flow models that maintain pressure while conserving water.
4. Smart irrigation controllers are implemented that adjust watering schedules based on weather conditions.
5. Water bottle filling stations are available to reduce plastic waste and encourage the use of reusable bottles.
